About this retreat

Come and join us for a Yoga Retreat in Thailand and experience the amazing Samahita Retreat for yourself! To immerse yourself in yoga, nature and the company of like minded people is an amazing way to reflect on the year gone by and prepare for the new year.

Samahita provides a nurturing and healing environment, giving you time and space to unwind and focus on yourself and your yoga practice. This retreat is open to everyone, offering a solid foundation for newer students beginning yoga, and refinement and depth to students with an established practice.

Twice daily yoga sessions will form the heart of the retreat, and you will instantly feel at ease in the fun and uplifting classes. Daily classes will be fully instructed as we work together intelligently with the body, to guide you through Ashtanga Vinyasa and Pranayama (Controlled Breathing), with the option of Mysore (self practice) later in the week. Along with clear and detailed instruction, the personalised teaching approach will support your individual needs.

The afternoon sessions will allow time for discussion, Q&A and a relaxing restorative class to close the day. There will also be plenty of free time to take advantage of the healing spa & wellness treatments or simply enjoy the beautiful surroundings and relax by the pool.

A perfect way to take some breathing space at the end the year, leaving you relaxed, clear and present.

A few words on the benefit of going on retreat

Our busy lives often leave little time for reflection on what we want from life, what our priorities are, how we relate to ourselves and others. We are constantly bombarded with thoughts, roles, responsibilities, daily challenges and distractions. Quite often we are living by blind habit, reacting the way we have always reacted and doing things the way we've always done, going through life with half of our attention on the past or future or our own mental chatter.

It is only when we silence the blaring sounds of our daily existence that we can finally hear the whispers of truth that life reveals to us, as it stands, knocking on the doorsteps of our hearts. K T Jong

Retreat provides a nurturing and healing environment, time to stop, reset, take stock, provide space to connect with your true nature and experience the joy of just being alive. You have an opportunity to have a complete break from your daily responsibilities, to listen and simply be, to get back to nature, to get back to basics, without having to be something for somebody else. Removed from your normal pressures and responsibilities, this is an ideal time to reflect and heal, a chance to break old habits and create empowering new ones with the support of like-minded people around you. Retreat gives you a chance to cultivate mindfulness; the focused awareness of the present moment. Mindfulness lets us be fully conscious of a simple sensation like the warmth of sunlight, or the complex interplay between our thoughts and feelings.

The effects of working deeply through yoga practices and backing it up day after day for a week has a massive effect on personal growth and transformation.  When you focus on your yoga and yourself like this, the effects usually last long after the retreat is over. Many people make new an positive choices and life direction changes which have a profound influence on their lives. Your mind, body and soul will be shining from the inside out
