Ok, well the Boot Camp part just refers to committing to a yoga intensive over one month, practising at sunrise or sunset! The rest, well it's just yoga. No whistles, no running and no yelling, just a strong invigorating class!
Yoga Boot Camp run by Soul Train Yoga will help you develop a strong regular yoga practice. Held throughout summer as beachside intensives at St Kilda Foreshore and from April to October at the studio in Acland Street, St Kilda. Yoga Boot Camps are run as 8 class intensives giving you an opportunity to see the results that consistent effort can bring. Classes are suitable for beginners to advanced.
What to Bring?
Studio intensives: Bring a water bottle. Mats & blanket provided
What to wear?
Studio intensives: The studio is heated to around 25C, so wear clothing you can move easily in.
Foreshore intensives: Be sure to wrap up warm and wear warm clothing. Layers are best and bring a beanie! In the rare occasion that the outside temperature is too cold, classes are held in the studio.
How to pay:
Yoga Boot Camp studio intensives: $120
Twice a week $120, once a week $65
Yoga Boot Camp - St Kilda Foreshore
A warm morning with a glorious pink and blue sky, the smell of summer is in the air. A sulphur crested cockatoo looks on, only metres away, as we begin our practice.
We can hear the waves gently lapping on the shore. The bay is so still and calm as "The Spirit of Tasmania" glides in to Port Melbourne.
Filling our lungs with fresh morning air we notice the hot air balloons rising from Richmond. The windows of the city skyline reflect bright orange as the sun slowly rises and we begin our "Salute to the Sun" sequence.
That's Yoga Boot Camp.
